T-Mobile Problem receiving port based SMS on T-Mobile from ATT

Hi,

I am facing an issue wherein my application in the application sends and receives PORT based SMSes. Eventually, when port-based application sends a message from any ATT BlackBerry to BlackBerry handset T-Mobile, our SMS application which is listening on registered port is not able to get the message.

The SMS is not even landed to native SMS application inbox. Do some one has faced this problem over to ATT, T-Mobile for port-based SMS sending / receiving?

If I understand this right there is an application connected to a specific port and the short message is delivered using a direct connection to this port. Right?
T-Mobile Germany - like most of the others - doesn't use official ip-addresses to connect to the internet. Internally they seem to use 10.x.x.x addresses and I assume that the application binds to a wrong address. Probably the application should bind to the address used externally.

At the moment I have the address 10.211.179.217 shown in ipconfig. Binding to this address won't be of any use I guess.

Have you tested if there is a difference in behaviour if the user has a blackberry option activated?

 

Afaik T-Mobile is not accepting port based SMS.
With J2ME you can access only SMS messages sent to your MIDlet. You do not have access to inbox, nor to all of the incoming messages.
