Sonstige Theme/Skin manager for Z6,V8,U9,E8

i found a bug, will fix tomorrow.
anyway i see you have zero user skin
upload files are all failed
but its true you have 5 chm files targeting non-existent skin folders (due to failed uploads)
i think thememanager list only stock skins
workaround:
you can try to upload into /ezxlocal
you dont mention, but i think you receive a messagebox and you selected mmc folder as destination
pls try if p2kcopmmander can create folder into /mmc/mmca1/skin
if not you can do it in memcard mode with window explorer

i will search a method to create folder into /mmc

tried to fix folder creation into/mmc

Drivers are correctly installed (64Bit)...
In device manager is just motorola usb modem.
reboot the phone don't work, too.

 

I have the program just on my U9 tested. It was when uploading a skins with a serious error. I have absolutely no idea why.

I will phone later times new flash and try again. If the problem still exists, then I really do not.


So, I've now tried again. Yes, and once again no. Both brings me not to the desired result. The skins are being displayed, but they can not be used. Why? I have no idea

The upload is also far too short. He created a .chm file on the phone and that's it. Nothing more.

Ah go now You have to have extra skin files with P2K commander in the appropriate folder to upload, then the whole works, too.

your log shows me Motorola USb networking device has uncommon IP address: 169.254.165.173
Usually this is 192.168.16.1
i see 2 solutions
1: try to make your USB device's IP to 192.168.16.1 with windows network configuration
2: if this not possibble, you can start P2kCommander and set "use this IP" in options dialog to
169.254.165.174
then exit P2kcommander and copy .config file to ThemeManager folder
P2kCommander and ThemeManager use the same .config file , but Thememanager hasnt option dialog yet.

edit: to do trick with config file:
rename your original .config in p2kc folder
copy .config here from thememanager folder
run p2kc and set ip address in options dialog, exit from p2kc
copy .config file fom p2kc folder to thememanager folder
rename back your original .config in p2kc folder

the programm shows me the skin and my mobile phone to
but the same the skin isn´t changing
and i think that you dont want to read the log file because its 73mb big and the editor crashing down when i open it

Ya, if you do detailed logging while uploading skin, it will be very big (because logging of iconres.ezx , 2-3 mb file)
simply use .config file froim logging_off folder (copy it to thememanager folder)
So the skin is uploaded to /mmc .....good news, but you cannot use it.
pls post chm file from /ezxlocal/download/appwrite/setup/theme folder (with the biggest number eg: User_4.chm)
in skinlist you can see which chm file linked. (3rd line)

With P2kCommander you can doublecheck if skin files are here /mmc/mmca1/skin
before getting filelist you must set filefiter in options: /mmc/mmca1/* to see /mmc folder

I think the problem is in chm file content....this file targeting to your skin, if this is bad, skin will not work.

Ooops. i will fix in 5.0.7 today eve.
you can edit .config file with a hexeditor, just write over IP address found in file
make sure do not insert bytes, but simply overwrite them, filesize must remain the old size.
overwrite 192.168.16.2 with 169.254.165.174, and save file.

 

I'll try it sometime. The Theme Manager works fine on my XP PC.

I changed with the new P2k Commander the IP of the logfile in 169.254.165.174. It do't work!:(
I tried to change the IP with a hexeditor: same disappoiting result:(

 

IP must be overwrite in .config file NOT in logfile
anyway it seems i must port options dialog from P2kCommader to Thememanager
