    Hi,
I want to change the CDA to support another language than the ones currently installed in the phone. The intention is to change this in the hope that the next update via SEUS delivers the right update.

With what tool would that be possible?

An alternative I guess would be to directly flash the phone with the latest firmware, but I couldnt find here the ones for Spiro...

thanks in advance for the help

    Hi,

maybe it helps to point out that most probably it would be enough to intercept and change on the fly the main request for searching the firmware on the server:

I noticed that SEUS contacts the update server with all data in the URL
    http://ma3.extranet.sonyericsson.co...CDA=1236-3242_ANuxPAaUno26ZLjt2atavmnM.ser.gz
where the TAC and CDA are used.

I assume finding out the CDA list, and changing it, would most probably deliver back the firmware.
In any case whatever data is downloaded (firmware) is stored in \Program Flees\Sony Ericsson\Update Service\db
(if these are already downloaded e.g. previous update, they are used again without re-download from the server.

I assume if I simply replace that directory with the one created by another CDA I might be able to flash the phone with SEUS to that specific language pack...

Of course the easiest way would be to modify somewhere on the phone the CDA string (so that it is reported directly to the server "correctly").

Any tools to read/write directly to the existing FS ? If any new ideas are there, just let me know...

No access to FS atm, only with paid services/tools.

Cheapest service to change CDA is Wotanserver.com.

    Price: 7 Euro.

    Maybe you wanna try :)
